These terms apply when you use the ClassicWorks website, browser games, numbered-game record service, and related features. By using the site, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Personal use

ClassicWorks is provided for personal entertainment and learning. No account or payment is currently required. You may use ordinary browser features and assistive technology to play the games and navigate the site.

Fair play and acceptable use

Do not interfere with the operation or security of ClassicWorks, attempt to gain unauthorized access, overload the site or its APIs, introduce malicious code, or use the service unlawfully. Do not fabricate completion times, automate record submissions, manipulate the game client or record API, or submit results that were not produced by completing the corresponding game through normal play.

Automated accessibility tools are permitted when they help a player access the interface. They must not be used to generate or submit artificial community records.

Numbered games and community records

Numbered games are reproduced from the game number, difficulty, and generator version. The community-best display shows the fastest time accepted by the record service for that combination. Equal or slower times do not replace the stored result.

Completion times are currently reported by the player's browser. They are not supported by a server-verified replay and must not be treated as independently verified world records. Community records have no monetary value and are not intended for prizes, gambling, qualification, or security-sensitive competition.

Record review and moderation

ClassicWorks may investigate, correct, remove, or reset a community record when there is evidence of manipulation, automation, technical error, data corruption, an incompatible generator change, or another breach of these terms. A displayed record does not create a permanent entitlement to attribution or continued listing.

Availability and changes

ClassicWorks is maintained as an evolving service. Features, games, layouts, record data, and availability may change. Reasonable care is taken when operating the site, but uninterrupted availability, permanent preservation of records, and error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.

Your browser data and privacy

Preferences and personal statistics are stored locally in your browser and cannot be recovered by ClassicWorks if browser storage is cleared. Numbered-game records and Cloudflare services are described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

Traditional game ideas and rules may have their own legal status. The Classic Works name, branding, original written content, interface designs, artwork, and site implementation may not be copied, republished, sold, or presented as your own except where applicable law or an explicit license permits it.

Third-party services

ClassicWorks uses third-party infrastructure, including Cloudflare, to deliver the site, protect requests, measure aggregate performance, and store community records. External services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Advertising providers may be added in the future only with corresponding updates to the site's disclosures and controls.

Responsibility and statutory rights

ClassicWorks is provided without a promise that every feature will always be available or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, ClassicWorks is not responsible for lost local statistics, unavailable or inaccurate community records, interruptions caused by third-party infrastructure, or indirect losses arising from use of the free service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply as far as the law allows.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as ClassicWorks changes. Material updates will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from that point forward, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
